Baxenden of Chemtura can be divided into two types, water-based and oil-based.

Temperatures as follows (90 Centigrade, 120 Centigrade, 150 Centigrade and 180 Centigrade) can be used to unseal the oil-based Baxenden. There are various types of it, like HDI biuret, HDI trimer, IPDI trimer and so on. It can be used in any single-use liquid formulas. Solvent-based products mainly are used as binders of Hydroxy- functional resin (Polyester, polyurethane, acrylic, etc.). Usually the Baxenden will be formulated to be 1-K coating. After baked, it will be dried and solid which can be applied in part of components in automobiles industry.

The temperature to unseal water-based Baxenden is averagely in 120 Centigrade.

HDI trimer can replace melamine for the reason of free formaldehyde in application of textile industry. The terminated part - Isocyanate dispersion of the new water-based Baxenden is designed to use in water-based 1-K system which can be applied in binders and adhesion promoter of coating like textile, leather, plastic, film, metal, glass and any solid substrates. There are Anionic and Nonionic types including patent HDI Trimer and DMP compound in current range of product lines. Wider range of the PH value are provided and can be applied in various water-based Aids, binder, pigment and other additives.
